Come the fuck on, man. That really wasn't necessary. I could only make it to about a millisecond after the vocals kicked in. Not cool.

placeholder wrote:I thought about this when I recently heard "Kodachrome" by Paul Simon for the first time in ages. The song sucks plenty from the beginning, but it goes from bland crap to horrifically irritating crap when it speeds up toward the end. The vocal delivery during this part of the song is especially bad. "Koadchrome" is maybe the best example of this phenomenon I can think of.

Boo! Our track record of same-music appreciation is starting to show cracks. I love this song. In fact, I'm going to listen to it right now and imagine you are here with me. I will be pointing out to the imaginary you certain musical phrases, lyrics, and the awesome giddie-up part at the end of the song. It's going to be awesome.

Holy hell, that song is dire! Progressively so!

"It comes from the Earth/The Earth can't hurt"? Yeah, what about poison ivy? Bee stings? Both come from the Earth and I'm not too eager to have either.

Folks, I think DRC had the thread-ender back on the second post. That "video games" song indeed sucks, BadComrade, but I can at least listen to it and laugh. That "Puff Puff Give" horsehsit on the other hand makes me absolutely insane. My god. Who the fuck writes this shit? And to make matters worse, I bet I could roll up to Boulder and hear some jackass street musician playing it right now. Ugh.
