Great record.

"Oh shit, there's a horse in the hospital"

Never make the mistake of seeing Keith live. Nobody who's earned a reputation for being a nutjob should be that boring on stage.

The one time I've seen Keith live, he was very entertaining. I guess your mileage may vary.

When I've seen Kool Keith live, he has delivered big-time.

Throwing fried chicken out to the crowd.

Acting uncomfortably strange, to the point of causing others on the stage with him to try to get him in line and/or back on script.

Inexplicably disappearing from the venue before and during performances.

Performing hilarious and ingenious one-off freestyle bits with D.J. Evil-E.

All the while displaying spot-on science in his performances.

Sorry you either caught him on off-nights or saw a different performer.

When I saw him, he threw out RAW chicken wings and warm CapriSun.

It was great. Club all smelly, veggers and vegans all vomitting.

Kool Keith rules.

I don't know how I forgot this earlier, but -- the last time I saw Kool Keith -- he distributed selections from his personal pornography collection to the audience. He was onstage flipping through the magazines and providing commentary, before tossing them out to the crowd.

The Realist and I managed to get one without much effort, as many people were leaving the show out of confusion or boredom. Keith also gave away a whole bunch of "limited edition" CDs in which hardcore fans had a lot of interest.

By the way, on a related note, the show had obviously turned into a total trainwreck by this point. Strippers and prostitutes all onstage. Keith all being very weird. Audience all feeling ashamed and embarrassed by the whole thing. In other words, I was a poker table and mass quantities of Bud Light Lime away from a PERFECT NIGHT.

Man, this is a great album. Kool Keith is a big fucking weirdo and Dan the Automator's beats are even stranger.

Damn, I love this.

Thanks Heliotropic!
