I want some form of musicman bass. Never played one, just like the thought of it. I have played many a derivative of a Fender Precision bass and I like it a lot. Can anyone tell me the advantages, disadvantages, should I bother or go for a fender type thing? I'm open to suggestion here. I want a new bass guitar that's different to the csl/ibanez jazz bass I have.

for the first time in a long time...I don't really WANT anything. sure, there's all kinds of crap I COULD buy, but nothing i'm dying for. I would like this - Late 70's Guild M-80... (much nicer than the 80's ones). This is the bees knees... but is also far too expensive for me so it's only a wish.

Benny I would go for the jaguar. I feel like like with my jazzmaster it sounds a little flat, and I might end up switching out the pickups for something hotter.

For those of you who do have an EGC. How long did it take for you to get you guitar?
