I'm pretty sure they're referring to their songs being used in "Vanilla Sky". I think they may have even written songs just for the movie.

I really love ambient music, especially when it's made or blended with "real"/acoustic instrumentation, so I should love this group. But I do not. They bore me and I I find their "singing" extremely irritating. Some occasionally nice textures though.

-i haven't seen the movie in about 2 years but they have the second song from the fetus looking record toward the middle of the movie and they have a song at the end when he (Tom Cruise) is on top of the building. That last song, incidentally, was the impetus for all the songs on () which really kinda sucked.

I saw that with my mom and dad and brother. We went to the $1.50 theater and my dad wanted his buck fifty back, plus the two plus hours of our lives which we wasted. There is not such a thing more uncomfortable than sitting next to your mom while Cameron Diaz shouts "I swallowed your cum! That means something!" That was crap. Almost crappier than the movie itself, but really squirmy crappiness will outweigh.

As far as Sigur Ros, they get a crap. Their videos are very not crap and that song 1 off of ( ) is gorgeous, but I saw some footage of a show and the fucking knob guy plays his guitar with a bow on EVERY FUCKING SONG. This is shit. Put the bow down and play the damn thing.

The pomposity that is "hopelandish" is not crap though.
