Wow, if the most you've paid to see a show is under $25, you're not doing too bad by current standards. I ended up spending about $30 per seat to see the Stooges in Detroit last year, and about $40 to see Lou Reed the summer before (though Lou played a smaller hall than usual, and he was fucking brilliant). Pretty much anything beyond a stanard club show these days is going to run you at least a double sawbuck, or at least that's my experience.

again, we're not complaining about the price in general, just the surcharge that ticketmaster adds on in an oh-so-assraping fashion. the itemized bill they give you is akin to a telephone bill--try to explain each individual fee, or get someone to explain it to you. nobody can do this.

Ticketmaster now have $52 of my hard-earned cash and I have 2 tickets to see Slint playing Boston. Yippidee-doo-daa!
