I was at this Shellac show in Milwaukee on the night that the first American Idol was concluded. During the Q&A portion of the set, a friend of mine asked, "Who won American Idol?" Without pause Todd stood up (from his drum throne) and exclaimed, "Me!" or "I did!" Something to that nature. It was pretty awesome.

Shellac, London, 2/12/04 during the Q&A session:

Question: "Are Shellac over-rated?"
Bob: "Definitely"
Todd rises from behind his drum kit, walks slowly and deliberately to Steve's microphone: "Hey, what's wrong with being x-rated?"

I laughed heartily
