Snowblinder wrote:Current recording setup:Ah, was hoping to see my Traynor make an appearance.I'll have a pretty redic photo of amps to post later when we load into the studio tonight. I think between the three of us we're bringing nine amps and six cabinets (if James brings both of his 4x12s).

Mr. Adrian did the repair -- the power transformer was teeny-tiny and I guess couldn't really handle the meager wattage. (I pretty much always run it on 10.)Output transformer. 6 watts at full distortion needs an OT bigger than 1" square. I'm surprised it didn't melt sooner.Doh, typo. I have a picture of the old tranny somewhere. So tiny! Ah-Damn, that's even smaller than the transformer in the Montgomery Ward amp I got from Snowblinder. Was it mounted to the speaker?

here's mine- surprisingly blues lawyer amp brings some serious rock. SO nice not having a bunch of shit in the way in a cluttered preamp though.. i really like this thing, and loud as balls for 18 watts- especially if i use this thiele cab and an open back 112 with.

My main amp is my Sunn Beta Lead with a Sunn 412L Cabinet.I also have a Dean Markley combo, a crappy Quantum combo, a Gibson GSS100 head that needs repair, a tiny Sears combo from the 60's and a Peavy Minx 110 bass combo, but I didn't bother taking pictures of those.

I'm going to try to convince our drummer to let us start using this from now on, mostly just for the visual intimidation factor:70's DR103 copy // 70's Sunn Model T based 140W head // Avatar 4x1270's DR 103 copy // 70's Sunn Model T based 140W head // Generic Marshall Slant66 Bassman // 71 Ampeg V4 // V4-cab300W 6x6550 basehead // 69/70 SVT 8x1069/70 SVT // 69/70 SVT 8x10the two heads (& cabs) on the far left are not mine, but rather ones I have built for/with friends.
