CRAP CRAP CRAP. A truly repugnant band who would rightfully be lumped in with Warrant, Motley Crue, Poison, and all that other garbage, had their record company not told them to (1) not wear pink spandex and fringe and stuff, and (2) release a "punk" covers record, on which they cocked up several great songs (and some crap ones as well). That these guys are considered the great "real rock band" of the late '80s or whatever kinda irritates me when I think about it, which is admittedly not too often. Again, CRAP. No waffle factor. One of the worst bands ever.

Crap 'n Roses. Unlistenable.

Duff McKagan was once OK. Playing in the Fartz and the Fastbacks has to count for something.

But otherwise, crap. With all certainty.

Appetite is fucking rad. It's like Rocks but came out in the 80s. I really really like this record and I don't think it's cheesy or ironic.
The Illusion albums could've been really good without all the overdubs and sound effects.
GNR was a rock band. They get praised a little too much especially considering they did a lot of horrible and irresponsible things during their tenure as a band. Things that I fucking hate like starting concerts late and ending them early and being drunken pricks. This is why I voted CRAP for Cat Power. If you don't want to tour then don't, but don't fuck your paying customers over like that.

But Appetite has some great songs. So much better than Motley Crue -- those guys are total crap and the pinnacle of this Revisionist Thinking nonsense. I want to give GNR a NOT CRAP for the rad half of their recorded output, but a CRAP for their behavior and the lame half of their output. Had I been a few years older GNR would get a CRAP, but they are NOT CRAP with as many waffles as you can have.
