There is a difference, I think, between tipping over sacred cows just to do it, and doing it for a matter of insight.


Regardless: the Minutemen, with hindsight being 20/20, were one motherfucking great band.

I too have to make up a word for my feelings of the minutemen. my life has been 'richened' because of them. thank you. not crap.

I've been listening to Double Nickels on the Dime all week. Not Crap.

Although I have not so much of courage to vote "crap," which may be dangerous thing to do in presence of you raging supporters of Minutemen, opinion is burning in my chest that Minutement are possibley little over-trumped up and not all we cracked up to be.

After waiting 6 years to hear Minutemen for first time, heart was choked in disappointment.

I might get beat up for this. About 3 months ago, I, at 28 years of age, purchased a vinyl copy of Double Nickles on the Dime. It was the first time I had heard a Minutemen record front to back. I realize I should have probably owned it a long time ago, but whatever the case, it's been on heavy rotation since. Man what a great fucking record. Absolutely NOT CRAP!

I love the Minutemen like few other bands, hugely influential on me as a teenager and it seems even more so the older I get. They pulled a few boners here and there, but at their peak, untouchable!

I love these guys... Have for years. The jazz punk thing is a great idea -- punk with some semblance of talent!

I've never liked shitty punk like The Germs or that shit.

Firehose were good, except the last album, Mr. Machinery Operator was kind of weak, even if it was produced by J.

Banyan... that's another story... I think I'd just as soon listen to String Cheese Incident... Jam band barf. The best thing is the painter guy.
