mohawks = n/c
fauxhawks = very much c
jockhawks = see above
nastyhawks = yep

I'm years behind apparently.. what do the last 2 even mean? I feel like "jockhawks" and "nastyhawks" don't really have a fair shot right out of the gate because of their name. It's like "stink bug" or "death moth." Or "earwig!" They could cure cancer and people would still hate them.

jockhawks = dudebros wearing them...

nastyhawks i'm assuming = the ones worn by crusty punk kids who don't do shit with theirs...

i hear ya'...i've had mohawks myself...it was fun for a while but i got tired of people gawking at me and wanting to touch my hair anytime i went somewhere...plus the tedious maintenance...

plus they're just not as threatening as they used to be...just like everything else about punk rock it too got assimilated by couture...and probably JC Penneys...

I like the short mohawk pretty well. The short, basically unstyled mohawk.

N/C on those.

The primphawk, with the glue and the spikes and the stuff, they make me feel kinda good when I see 'em on kids. Ah look, the kids, they still fly the primphawk and wear leather jackets with the Crass logo on them. How nice.

N/C on all 'hawks!

I was going to post this yesterday in the “little details” thread but didn’t get around to it. I work for a really conservative company – suits all the time. Serious grey suits. White Shirt (no pocket! Proper cuffs! Plain cuff-links). Plain tie. No exceptions.

I went down to the lobby yesterday and one of my colleagues had a new ‘do’ – one of those early 90’s Mohawks – really long hair shaved into a hawk, but worn down and in a pony tail. Maybe that’s not a very good description… anyway…

When I saw it I laughed out loud – I couldn’t help it – I just laughed. He turned and looked at me. I may well have been the 100th guy in the office who did the same thing. I felt sad… I’m sorry for laughing at your 90’s alterna-guy-hawk throw back 90’s-alterna-guy… but that’s a fashion that should never come back.

Oh yeah, no way.

I forgot about the smart-metal haircut.

That is what you are talking about.

And that is CRAP.
