Their music videos are really, really funny. My room mate and I were (are) totally confused about whether or not they're serious--I think maybe they intended for that.

I walked out of their gig in Berlin two months back. Toothache did not help, but this is something that I rarely do. A friend had persuaded me to go, with dubious enthusiasm about their conceptual side. They were truly awful, CRAP.

Like most artists with a sense of humor, Laibach's musical merits are unfairly discounted. If you take Laibach seriously, then you are a serious dingus. Not crap.

Amazing there's still debate about their aesthetics. Satire can't get a whole lot more obvious.

Bump. Their cover of 'Sympathy for the Devil' became the soundtrack to a holiday I just had in Berlin. Outstanding cover and great video too. NC.

Poking holes in the claims made by the capitalist NATO nations and the Soviet Bloc, each of whom insisted the other side were the real totalitarians, by associating both with fascist imagery? Not crap. Especially when you do it by covering pop songs in militaristic style.http://www.reuneker.nl/blog/2011/03/the ... er-nation/Plus, the early stuff is dark without such simple irony, and pretty atmospheric.phpBB [media]So not crap.

Red Square wrote:yeah, if anything they're more pseudo-nazi...like they flirt with the imagery enough but don't sport any swastikas or the like that i've ever seen...the impression i get is a self-made regime...Artist as a type of fascist subjecting the world to their vision tongue in cheek self-critique. Seems very much out of the Gristle playbook.I had some of their older work but it was sacrificed in one of my many pawning sprees.nc
