Hey Tommy, I appreciate any and all feedback!1) EQ bypass - because it potentially has three functions. a) as a comparison to see if I improving my tone with how I have my EQ set. b) an alternate boost. c) noise reduction by taking it out.-This is definitely a good idea. I doubt you would get much noise reduction from bypassing the EQ, since it runs at unity gain and has fairly high headroom (34vdc) but I wouldnt mind doing this in future iterations for the other 2 benefits you mentioned. Plus, we can test the noise reduction to see if you are correct 2) XLR out snap/clip. What was the reason you left out the part that lets the cable to snap in?The XLR inputs I bought did not come with an outside clip. They do lock, though. Just no tab thingie on the outside. If thats a real issue, I can replace it for you with one with a tab.3) My 1978 seems to have some instant/constant noise (ground?) when you click the boost on, even with the gain all the way down. BUT I haven't tracked this down yet to see if it is a fault of bad ground at the outlet/amp/etc.If you want to send it back, I can take a look! I havent heard this one before so there might be an actual problem going on. I will split the shipping with you (we both pay for our own shipping) if you like. **EDIT** actually, you are in Logan Square, right? I can take a look anytime this weekend! I am in Toronto this week for work but I get back on Friday.
