My first ever guitar pedal was a used Boss DF-2 Super Feedbacker and Distortion that was either broken or out of alignment. For anyone unfamiliar with these, you can hold the pedal down as you make a noise with the guitar and it will "sustain" that sound. It basically samples your pitch and generates a keyboard like tone that is adjustable with one knob that kind of controls timber, octave, and tone all at the same time. With my borken one, you could run a drum machine into it and holding down the pedal created a faux bass line. I sold that pedal for whatever reason, but I had 2 more of these pedals later that didn't do this, which bummed me out.
