West Coast is beautiful that time of year for sure. If you end up going up I5, you'll hit hot summer weather once you're north of SF through southern Oregon. Coast will definitely be cooler, and is an amazing drive.If you go in the ocean while north of SF, be warned them shits are COLD, especially as you get into Oregon and Washington.
