That was a huge bummer as I didn't realize quite how bad Vern had gotten. When I lived in Oly he was a pretty affable, friendly, seemingly functional guy. He was in a decent band called Flora vs Fauna but they broke up because of his drinking as well. I am glad that Sara and Justin are getting out under the Unwound banner again and Jared should be a great addition.

My old band played with Flora vs Fauna, and the moment he started playing that old Jazz bass through some random head you could tell it was Vern playing.

Had forgotten scalpers are still a thing. But of course they're still a thing.

Anyway, Unwound records...have still got to explore their whole catalog, so no vote, but it'd be hard to unseat Repetition at this point. Liked it back in the day and still like it now. Whatever style of music that is (nineties angular rock? indie-punk? post-hardcore?) it's one of the more successful iterations of it. Just a good, varied-but-consistent sequence. Well put together. A high water mark for "PRF-type stuff" if we're gonna grossly generalize.
