That's the power of love.

A number of years ago, I was getting stoned with some friends and we were watching the ABBA movie on VH-1 for some laughs. We all agreed that Dancing Queen was the drunk-sorority-girl-dancing-atop-the-bar-on-Saturday-night anthem.

That week at work I had Dancing Queen stuck in my head for FOUR SOLID DAYS. I tried everything to shake it loose (Maybe I'm A Leo by Deep Purple usually works) but every time there was silence in a room, here came that little three note piano lick dee-deen, dee-deen, dee-deen ... You can dance, you can jive ... first thing in the Goddamned morning ... Having the time of your life ... on my lunch break ... Friday night and the lights are low ... driving home ... Looking out for a place to go ... eating dinner ...

I can laugh about it now but sweet Jeebus that was a horrible experience.

birds eat worms, their music never unpleasantly lingers

years ago i was at a party meeting my exes friends for the first time and we all had so many conversations going that one guy decided this was his chance to put on some new agey cd he obvi loved but was sneaking into the background and nobody seemed to notice except me so when he hit the back button to replay a song that we finished listened to already i called across the room "hey no repeat dj! we already heard wind chimes and pan flute" and he was blown away i noticed but i could point out the lightning moment and all of it.. but he was so happy i heard his music and followed me all night like a puppy haha and my ex said that's what i get for getting involved noticing pan flute music.. the moral? tunes be catchy, and bishes love catchy tunes we can dance to, but dont make us have to do a raindance because that's the music you put .. the next day the new age guy invited me on the hiking trail with his girlfriend at sunrise and i was awake and ready to be as healthy as new age kids but when we got there they took off running into a marathon sprint and i kinda walked and smelled wildflowers that didn't have a scent and got back way later..
