As a Ween fan, I've noticed that a lot of their studio records are out of print and go for a bit of $$$, Elektra or whomever owns the rights to them should get them reissued, especially since the band has a fairly big, devoted fanbase now.

True.
I recentley checked and there were some copies of Godweensatan's last reissue at an "affordable" price (+- 40$ ... a bit too much IMHO) but most of their records are just too expensive.

90s Neil Young records. I've got Weld and Broken Arrow on vinyl, but would like to have Ragged Glory, Sleeps With Angels, Mirror Ball, and Year of the Horse for non-insane prices.

Definitely a lot of Dischord stuff but I can see how it wouldn't be a smart move for them financially. Touch & Go too.
I'd love to own Solid Brass by Circus Lupus on LP. It's going for at least $100 these days. Still have your copy, Dave N?

I paid 40 € for a NM copy few years ago. It's usually the biggest amount I'm willing to pay for a single Lp and I rarely do.
It's a great Zientara recording, but Super Genius is the real deal.
I guess Fugazi records are worth pressing cause they still sell. I'd like to think that a run of 500 copies for the Super Genius lp would sell reasonably well. Is it profitable/possible to press that small amount?
I mean, I see records by bands far more unknown being reissued constantly..

nah, it's a 'maybe break even/labor of love' affair, often partially funded by some of those band members themselves. Dischord is probably pretty scaled back these days but it's still a business that has expenses and a handful of employees. It's also hard to imagine they'd be down with the 'special edition' pricing or crowd sourcing these types of projects often rely on.
As an aside: I heard a story second hand a few years ago about a DC band interested in being on Dischord, and Ian inviting them down to show them why a release of their scale was unfeasible on Dischord. A bummer talk I'm sure, but it's nice he took the time to be transparent about it.
