Many stories about the Bay Boys, all true. Localism is good to a point, "locals" do keep things safe for everyone, but the Bay Boys are rich spoiled brat idiots.

I feel far worse for any poor gang member than these entitled, NIMBY douchebags.

As both a person who snowboards at every opportunity in the winter and also a person who does a lot of bike-riding in the not-winter, I will say that snowboarders and cyclists are both awful to be around most of the time...but I'm going to give the edge to cyclists. JFC I hate being a member of both of these groups. Most snowboarders I meet that are above the age of say 25 have almost always been chill dudes who are just enjoying the ride which I CANNOT say about cyclists...especially when I know they've spent more on their bike than I have on my car.

But to be fair, I can also say that when you're doing a thing you love and just want to lose yourself in...and someone does something stupid and endangers themselves and others or even just takes you out of the moment....it's hard not to be an asshole about it. This is probably the same with a lot of folks being jerks to new people in any of these activities.

An aside, why do cyclists with huge guts want to wear the skin tight bike top. I get the bottom, it protects your butt, but please spare me the top until you’ve earned it. I’d say there are a lot of dicks in beer league softball leagues and such, who think they’re playing for real.

The correct answer is Crossfit.

I go cycling--non-competitively, in normal garb--to get away from all of this crap!!

Yeah, MAMILs can be super obnoxious and I'm a big fan of bikes overall.

To the earlier comment(s) that they shouldn't be on road.. no. If you're averaging 20 mph on a bike you really need to be on a highway in the sticks, not plowing past people walking their chihuahuas (which they sometimes do).

I say this having biked to work for a few years and firm in the belief that we need more bike-friendly cities.
