Anyone should see them live at least once, yes.
Re: Band: Deerhoof
22I like the music; not a fan of the Pebbles Flintstone vocals. VOTE WITHHELD.
I guitar Conformists.
Re: Band: Deerhoof
23A band that I want to listen to exactly zero percent of the time, but would never vote crap.
Re: Band: Deerhoof
24Simply the best. I listened to Deerhoof vs Evil and La Isla Bonita again this morning and was blown away. They might be my favorite active band.
Re: Band: Deerhoof
25I saw them open for Radiohead in the mid-00s and thought they were OK. Then last year they played a small local venue and I was riveted, completely fell in love with them. I think drummer Greg Saunier lives here in Tucson.

26Seen 'em many times, and always superb, but remember one show in particular at the Empty Bottle in Chicago, I think one of Chris Cohens last with the band, and it was just staggering. Some fuckin' voodoo or telekenisis going on between the guitars players
Re: Band: Deerhoof
27Not super familiar with the records I have. Saw them live a couple weeks back. Pretty smiling.

30I really enjoyed this podcast. I thought it was really interesting how not everything they've written was an attempt to be off kilter or idiosyncratic. Some of their material was intended to be broad, catchy, rock. It turns out Deerhoof is sometimes just weird on accident.
