Being of a certain age I am familiar with this band by name but can not recall hearing them. Where should I begin?
Just start with Love Agenda. Lots of great songs, walls of guitars.

I've only listened to The Word and the Flesh. I like it quite a bit when I do listen to it, and It scratches a weird sort of itch, but it doesn't knock my socks off or anything. It sounds to me like less compressed shoegaze crossed with bent indie rock and driving rhythms.

The Rhys Chatham song on the end is absolutely killer.

That song is really good. Kept my attention rapt throughout.

Minimalism rocks.

No shit. Listening now and fuck, this is great. Got a little touch of mid 80's "college rock" but not in a super gross way.

Added to the list of bands I missed out on until much much later (see also: Pale Saints.)

EDIT: Half an album in but comfortably voting NOT CRAP.

I’d check out Born Annoying, Helmet’s first recording. It’s way closer to BoS than Strap it On.
