Liked it. Enjoyed a lot of the scenes and visuals more than the first one. But there’s some stuff I don’t like. I’ll just hit on the main ones.

not a single shot of a mutated, pussy-mouthed guild navigator. Not one. Bullshit.
Maybe my biggest disappointment was how little there was of the spacing guild. It’s kind of a big deal. Plus the tease we got in the first one hints at some super cool design stuff.
Biggest deal was the odd time compression. I don’t really understand what it gained for the film to not have a time jump if a year or two instead of days? Months? There was one or more time jumps though. Even just hopping the worm-line to south arrakis has to take a while right?
Final dual was a bit more of a messy slug out than I’d maybe like. Idk. Definitely liked the dual from the first movie better.
Would love to stay at the Emperor’s modest home in cape cod though.
Minor gripe. Witch mamma can force-heal to neutralize poison and survive worm juice but loses her yuck awkwardly to morning sickness. I mean I’m not shitting on morning sickness —can’t speak to it— but damn that sucks. I sure hate barfing, so my heart goes out.

I've watched the rest of it and more recently the entire thing, on a projector with proper speakers which added to the specatcle expierence, but I stand by all I said, The entire thing felt very disjointed, like they've run into budget problems at some points and only could film (or finish the post-production) part of the scenes that were indented to be in the film, so they've re-cut (using rather blunt object). I have hard time believing this came out Villinueve intended, it just feels wrong.
Oh and while the music itself was the expected Zimmer bombastic assault, it seemed like AAEEEEEAAA - BWOOOAAH bits were inserted in rather random moments because of contractual obligation saying each 10 minutes of film has to remind viewer of who wrote the score.
The films idea of portraying villains as villains was to show them slicing people throat's left and right and do some other cartoon level villains things. That is just shit, shit writing. Thinking about it, I'm not even sure why the Prometheus looking guy was in the film - he did stereotypical villainy things and then died which was a much needed contrast to the character of his bigger brother, who did stereotypical villainy things more angrily and then died. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
All of the shots of the final battle looked great but there were so few of them I had no idea what actually is going on and who is where. Paul in Darth Vader mode got to the emperor's room so easily it wasn't even worth showing on screen? Fremens were once again jumping out from the sand, but how did they got there - they were the attacking force? And why bother with ground forces at all outside of the worms, who were wreaking absolute havoc in all of the 6 seconds we've saw them in. Did they actually used footage from the battle in Dune 1 at the end when the thuggy villain was killed? It looked like we've switched to a different time of day and location.
I've also didn't really understood some fundamental plot points but It could be on me. Paul transition from reasonable to psychotic Darth Vader should have be its own film, but it seemed to happen within 2 scenes - he drank the blue juice and had a vision of his sister telling him she loves him, and that was it?
How is Paul going to take on all the other houses if his house was quite easily erased by the Harkonnens, and Fremens were only capable of gorilla warfare against them?
The most intriguing thing was the intentions of the witches and their relationship with the emperor but it was done so, so sparsely I didn't really understood why he was in the film (again).

I liked it but had a few issues.
It made it seen like it takes place over an especially active summer vacation as opposed to a few years. Makes the transition from normal Paul to Super Human Ultra Man seem a bit rushed. Also made no room for Alia to be born, and thus kill the emperor as a lil baby. Bummed me out.
Emperor was underwhelming and seemed to be just along for the ride with his daughter and the witches taking the drivers seat, which isn't completely unfounded but he was a little too vague to the whole thing to me. He seemed as confused about the plot of Dune as most people watching.
Beast Rabban was a bumbling dolt and wasn't remotely threatening. His death fight might as well been the shoot the guy with the sword from Indiana Jones.
I liked Fayd but his band sucks. His drummer is overrated and the Guitar is boring as fuck. The Arena fight was dump and looked like watching Gladiator on a broken tv. I actually liked the visuals of that section but the battle itself was silly and felt kinda "Made for TV"
The shot of the 3 nikes flying through the air looked like it was animated in Flash or something. Just terrible work. I don't think ICBM's fly in perfect formation like that.
Saw it in Imax, the every closeup of the Florence Pugh you could see huge quality issues with her costuming. A ton of cosplay looking stitching and goofy handmade looking crap compared to a lot of the other costumes. The Emperor was pretty bad too. If this was a choice, I'm not sure why they tried to make the most powerful people in the universe appear the most KMart.
The entire film came to a halt exactly where Lynch's Dune does as stated above. I blame pacing. If you are trying to slam the idea that the story is taking place over summer vacation and not over a length of years, you hit this speed bump where you just have to take a breath and cope with "Ok, I guess there has been a lot of character growth. Lets wrap this up! Drink that worm jizz and hulk out!!!"

No Pugs.
7/10.
True - the lack of pugs was a let down. I thought that they might have included one as homage but no
