Moshing and stage diving are definitely not crap

Crowd surfing is slightly crap due to the obvious bro-core and corporate festival connotations. However, the free abandon nudges it into not crap for me. Albeit with reservations….

One of these being that I am six and a half feet tall and I cannot see crowd surfers coming. The foot in the bd knot the head is a bit rough.

Only did it once, Caught in the mosh, Metallica, Big Day Out, (can't remember year) I was getting hella claustrophobic and uncomfortable. Big dude next to me saw my distress and yelled "UP YOU GO BRO" and I got surfed to safety over the front of the barrier. Plonked onto the ground right under Papa Het. I lasted 30 seconds before security told me to fuck off, but I did reach up and give him a pat on his boot.

That was not crap.
