I will admit there is a time and a place for FNM and RHCP, and it is called junior high school.

No one is going be convinced here. But I would say if Epic is where you left them this is where they got to by the end of Angel Dust. I saw that tour, when people talk about a band feeling dangerous, this is what it felt like. Patton was hurling himself into the void every night. There was nothing that resembled the pop funk metal vibe of the Real Thing.



If you’re a “serious music” person, they’re not for you. And that’s totally fine.
