Well no, she doesn't put them in the fridge. But she'll slice off a 5th of a bagel for a snack, something it'd never occurred to me to do.

Related: On the subject of alcohol, my wife will, on occasion, order a beer, drink about a quarter of it, then set it aside. (This does not tend to happen w/wine or cocktails, I should add.)
I'll often end up finishing the thing. No complaints unless it gets warm, stale, or is something I otherwise would not drink. "I just want that first sip," she says. Fortunately, she does not put the beer back in the fridge and nip at it later. Basically just wants a tiny beer, especially if we've been hiking.
The solution? Those little Super Bock and Sagres mini bottles from Portugal. Or the tiny drafts you can get in Japan.

My gf Elizabeth is constantly putting half-eaten or half drank things in the fridge, and I end up throwing it away once it goes bad. I totally wouldn’t put it past her to pull a Lex with an apple, but it hasn’t happened yet.

If she doesn't intend to finish it then she is in denial. If she finishes it, then no problem. If she expects others to eat it, she is sick.

This isn't quite congruent with being a "bun cunt," because if you remove part of a bagel or donut, it won't start rotting prematurely. Unless it has filling within it. Or rather, if the bakery does otherwise start going south a bit sooner, it won't be at the same quick rate as punctured fruit.
I would probably not see a band named Punctured Fruit.
