yes.

I don't know, it seems like Don Cab had a baby with King Gizzard while on vacation in Drugachusetts. The music is exhausting and weirdly dull because there is zero space in it. It fatigues. It's wheelies the entire time and that is pretty boring to me. The costumes are silly but so is the entire idea. The Mummies wore costumes and they kick ass. MOAM. DEVO. The idea of looing nice for your big performance doesn't bother me, but the aesthetics here are pretty TikToky to me.

I am impressed by anyone that can reliably play the same thing twice on a micro tonal guitar so points for that I guess

crap

The microtonal guitar stuff reminded me of Horse Lords. I’d rather listen to Horse Lords but I’m not hating this on first listen.

EDIT: Ok I’m about halfway through the set. This shit fuckin’ rules.

Seems like the type of band that co-workers will try to talk to me about because I like weird music. See also: King Gizzard.

Yo Gabba Gabba Lightning Bolt.

Superb.
About 15 people sent me this clip over the last week.

This is not for me at all, man. And I'm out here actively trying to like shit, I swear to god.

One the one hand - Yes, absolutely. On the other, the obvious influences are pretty good: Motorik-Drumming, 2000s Crescendo/Looper Rock, 24TET with plenty of nods to Saharan Guitar music, a few sprinklings of the spacier 70s prog - I have a feeling these dudes would be right at home here....

The can really get a crowd moving, I also find this concert recording way less anemic than the KEXP one:

Not bad but far from memorable.

Better than Geese and TFS indeed.
