Most of what I was going to suggest was covered. But there are a couple things you might wanna check ot.

Edan - Beauty and the Beat - This is a great record. I've heard that Primitive Plus, the one before this, is supposed to be even better.

Analog Brothers - Pimp to Eat - Ice-T and Kool Keith with some other dudes rapping about keyboards and computers. Supposedly they also made the music using nothing but analog synths and drum machines. It's an awful album but at the same time it's almost mind blowingly great.

Yeah, even better than Enter, because of rhymes like, "What's that in your pants, aw human feces!/So throw your shitty drawers in the hamper/And next time come strapped with a fucking Pampers." Also, I think ODB's rhythmic sense was the best of any of the Wu emcees.

Oh also, (and I'll probably get some shit for this) Skee-Lo's album "I Wish" was really good. And Yella's solo ablum (I think it was his only one) was really good too.

not from me you won't! i haven't heard the album, but everything about that song is awesome. although i always wondered about the line that's something like "...sit on the bleachers with the rest of the girls..." uh, wouldn't that imply that he's a girl? hrm... great song though! is the rest of the album as good?

The response while I bomb that ass, "You ain't shit!"
Your wack ass town had you gassed
Egos is somethin the Wu-Tang crush
Souped up niggaz on a stage get rushed
I don't give a god damn, on the shows you did
How many rhymes you got, or who knows you kid?
Cuz I don't know ya therefore show me what you know
I come sharp as a blade and I cut you slow
You become so Pat as my style increases
What's that in your pants ahhh human feces!
Throw your shitty drawers in the hamper
Next time come strapped with a fuckin Pamper
How ya sound B? You're better off a quitter
I'm on the mound G, and it's a no-hitter
And my DJ the catcher, he's my man
Anyway he's the one who devised the plan
He throws the signs I hook up the beats with clout
I throw the rhymes to the mic and I strike em out
So it really doesn't matter on how you intrigue
You can't FUCK with those in the major leagues

Do you mean that 'this rhyme is so bad (as in not good) that ODB's solo album is better than 36 chambers'?

Because this is not ODB and this track is on 36 Chambers. It's the song called "Clan In Da Front"

Oh holy shit you're right. My god, I guess it's been a long time since I listened to either of those albums (I had all of those, ODB, Rza, Gza, Wu, on cassette). Durr. What the hell. I do remember thinking that the ODB was the best one, but now I'm not sure which one I was thinking of. I have got to stop drinking all that coffee.

It's a shame that you picked up that Can Ox LP first, as nothing else really comes close IMO. Since it came out I've been searching for something equally as good; I have been unsuccessful, and as a result I have virtually given up on hip-hop.

In 5 years this album will gushed over the same way early Wu Tang/Public Enemy is now.

If anyone has any recommendations, I'd love to hear them...
