I dont live in or near Chicago so I imagine it would be a different story otherwise, but although I can't say that I like every note the dude has written and let's not even get into his singing voice, overall I think he is pretty talented. I even enjoy his whiny prima donna (at times) behavior and how well he is able to antagonize all of the people that don't like him.
