_This_ came about because it isn't always possible to do this on the internets. But this came about because it's not possible to do this when writing by hand. The MLA says films should be like this.

For my part, I try not to be consistent, using italics, quotes, underlining, or nothing at all, depending on my mood.

I think "Pure Imagination" is sung by Gene Wilder and is also played over the house speakers before Wilco goes on stage.
