I'll bite.

Wire--Send

The Bismarck--EP's one and two

Songs:Ohia--Magnolia Electric Company. This one may be my favorite in a while. Just a beautiful sounding album, and beautifully played.

Rocket From the Tombs reissue.

The Constantines--Shine a Light.

AND that goddarned Yeah Yeah Yeah's album. Don't believe the hype. It's good album. That's no kidding.

There are a few more, but mostly, this felt like a bit of a downer year for new albums/bands I don't know. Maybe I'm just getting old.

its true--that first track is just too good. however, the last track kind of sucks. the singing takes so much away from the original version of the song. they also took out the handclaps, which i am not happy about.

Well someone mentioned it so i didnt feel the need to second the release.

I prefer bitches just a tad, bugs bunny is slighty too electronic sounding. Totally experimental on both, zach and spencer are aliens.

Have you guys heard much from dilute? They're slowly becoming one of my favorite bands...

I'll repeat:
Calexico - Feast of Wire
Constantines - Shine A Light
Broken Social Scene - You Forgot It In People
Pelican - Australasia
The Wrens - Meadowlands

I'll add:
Iron & Wine EP
Panthers EP
Neil Young reissues and Greendale
and for some reason I like the Kings Of Leon - Holy Roller Novocaine EP.

These are pretty much the new records I listened to most so far this year, considering ISIS - Oceanic was spinning continuously until the Calexico was released. I haven't heard the Mogwai or Explosions In The Sky albums yet.

The Magnolia Electric Co. gets the boot after catching the live show in Philadelphia. Lackluster. Maybe it was an off night for the band, but I doubt it.

Ok. 2003 was so long. I need to think what I bought this year that I liked (that actually came out this yeeeeer.)

Outkast --- Speakerboxxx/The Love Below
Polyphonic Spree --- Beginning Stages of . . .
Sounds of the Prarie (I made my girlfriend buy it for me at Target)
Tom Jones --- Reloaded (Holy kow! Motherless Child with Portishead! It was a hot night!!!)
Junior Senior - DDDon't Don't Stop the Beat

By far, my best buy of the year was the Stax/Volt 1959-1968 singles. (it came out a while ago though.)

Hmmmmmmm. I don't know anything else that came out this year that I actually liked (or bought).
