I believe that has already happened.

like, fucking duh?

Ok, easy there fanboy, not everyone knows Ruf got more than he bargained for while out for a late night stroll in the park.

I love it when people take it personal when someone doesn't like their favourite band

JUst for the record, I'm not a fan, I don't think I'll like the stuff much after what I heard on Jools Holland, but it was kind of windswepty and romantic, which was probably how he used to feel about late night strolls in Central Park, and on that basis I'd better avoid it. Martha, on t'other hand, is a different story. Nepotism. hmm. Interesting. And for those who missed the humour, I don't think manrape is a good thing. Salut!

Thinking that Rufus Wainwright is crap is a definite sign of melodic retardation.

NOT CRAP.

He's fucking balls; it's a sign of not liking people singing calypso versions of songs from Radiohead's "The Bends" like the big whinnying sensitive PCP junkies that they are.

I like him, very talented songwriter with a really great voice. Ok, with the exception of 'Want One', his albums are way inconsistent, as if he's compelled to mold his considerable talent into traditional singer-songwriter tropes, which baffles me somewhat, but to me are still worth the price of admission for the half-dozen or so peaks where something alternatively unique and/or beautiful breaks through. As previously noted, very funny and charming live performer too.

Anyone who can write a song as good as 'Dinner at Eight' is pretty not crap in my book. As John/Ch2 called it earlier, I confess to having a thing for the windswepty and romantic, but give me this over...I dunno, fucking Polvo any day:

I really wish I hadn't said things about manrape and "like, duh" in this thread. Oh well, you live and learn. And hopefully don't get manraped.
