I though the action sequences were terrible. If the director doesn't have the goods to film a coherent scene in which you can actually see what is happening, maybe he should leave the job to someone competent.
Every action scene, with the exception of the stuff at the beginning with Liam Neeson, was nothing more than thudding sounds and flashes of light. That's just lazy hackwork.
And the dialogue was pretty bad, but I expected that. It's a movie derived from a comic book.
The Scarecrow character was pretty interesting, some of the effects were pleasing to the eyes, and the American Psycho makes a much better Batman than Clooney.

saw it yesterday. It was a pretty average comic book adaptation i thought but definatly the best batman by far. not crap

So not crap! I finally saw it a couple nights ago... Expected there was no way it would meet expectation (especially after recently watching this other Christian Bale action flick which was probably the worst movie I've ever seen in my life, his acting included)... but it totally did. I like the scarecrow actor, he was a little wussy and pretty boy but it sort of fits... I was also glad there was no big romantic resolve too... I wonder if they're going to make this a series, and if so if the guy from Momento will be directing again.

It was decent. But that arse faced cunt shouldn't have played Batman.

Michael Caine was good. Although at some point he should have said "...not a lot of people know that."

Loved it.




I wanna go again, just like the ride.

My friend just got this on DVD and we watched it last night.
I knew it was supposed to be good but I didn't think it was gonna be that good.
My god.

it's sitting on my shelf right now, but i haven't seen it for 3 reasons:
1. katie holmes
2. michael caine
3. morgan freeman
if i'm going to watch this movie that all but one of you say is not crap, i'll have to get past this.

Excellent movie. Nothing further. A not crap and two thumbs up.

enjoyable though not amazing.

haven't seen it since last summer but i wish they'd done more w/ the villain.

not crap. but crap when commish gordon says "i gotta get me one of those" when he sees the batmobile.
