I thought that was when he was trying to instigate a teachers strike and there was a chinese whisper thing through the crowd and "purple monkey dishwasher" got added to whatever he said.

23The thing I realized is when you're not in a band, you find cool names almost everyday....but when you need one,no more cool names come to mind only shit ones.
Anyway, now I'm in Ventura and I just can't remember who we found it.

I'm a signed-up card carrying member of the International Federation of Nerds. I read Pablo Neruda -in Spanish- for fun, I visited buildings when I was on holiday in Brazil and I have a soft spot for sci-fi films and my favourite food is Thai... but the ladies love all that shit.

27My first band was 'The Stool Pigeons'. We were like 15. We came up with the name because when we would play for extended periods of time in the garage, we all ended up on stools because we got tired.
When we turned 17 we decided we needed a "more mature" name, so we came up with "Avarice" which we got from an article in a Hustler mag.
Most recently I played in "National Day". We thought it was cool because there's a National _____ Day for everything, so, what if there was just a "national day".
Now for my solo shit I use "Peripatetic". I was looking for something to call all the tapes I was making in college so I opened the dictionary, closed my eyes, and started flipping. That was the first word I came to and I used it because I was pleased that it wasn't "eat", or "automobile".

28My first band was called Hilary's Victims which came about from my sister terrorizing my band mates who practiced at my house. For being 14 years old, it could have been worse.
I've been in a bunch of bands over the years, but I think my current two have the best names so far:
Fezbelly - Made up word that we came up with so that we could be pretentious about our name. We sometimes say it's a type of African bird, and sometimes it's a discontinued flavor of jelly bean.
E=MC Hammer - I don't remember how we came up with that, but I like the name. It's especially good for a performance art/costume-wearing/gimmick/math rock band.

29finding a band name for us was a miserable experience.
We finally agreed on Push-Pull, named after the amplifier circuit design.
I like it because it's fine, and it describes our music, performance and the way we interact with each other precisely. I also like it because there is nothing special about it.
