Provelone, Manchego, Camembert, Aged Gouda, you are all excellent cheeses in my book.

A friend of mine came up with an excellent name for a new cheese recently:

"The Computer"

My wife and I just went down to the Neal's Yard Dairy (Borough) to buy some Christmas cheeses. I got to try an incredible selection, including the aforementioned 'Doddington'--which, by the way is excellent. In the end we settled on these three:

Baby Waterloo - a rich buttery soft cheese, made with Guernsey Cow milk

Colton Bassett Stilton - a traditional English Stilton

Berkswell - a hard nutty cheese, with a pineapple flavour


Apparently, they now ship to wholesalers in the US.

The most exciting 'creamery' I've been to for a while.

Ever come across Olomoucky syr, the ultra-rank but supposedly delectable Czech cheese that puts Limburgher to shame in terms of utter revoltingness?

Like Wallace says, I'm crackers for cheese.

Whole Foods has a wide variety of moderately priced ones that I simply must try. Each and every one.

A current favorite is Blackstrap Blue.
