Hey,

I'd love to get a copy of this show. One question though, does it feature Mac on drums?

Regards,

Kemal

I'm pretty sure this has nothing to do with Touch and Go. I've heard Steve say they feel that the live show is more than just seeing them play - it's the entire experience.

He has said this about people taping shows. However, the first time I heard of Shellac was when they were on mtv, probably around 95/96. It was interviews interspersed with live footage.

At least I'm pretty sure it was Shellac. It was a few years before I heard them again. I remember being alarmed at how high the cymbals were.

Could I get a copy of that? I'll send you cash, blood, whatever. Please, please....I saw them three times but I'd love to have something for the memories.

I thought a bounce might be appropriate after yesterday's gush followed by bun fight and potential lynching.

For the guy making a TJL DVD

There was some absolutely amazing footage of them on a UK show called The Beat (presented by Gary Crowley) sometime in 93.

They used to have bands perform in the studio to no audience and light them like a gig. I never saw the weekly show that presumably had 2 TJL songs on it but the end of year special featuring Reading footage of Nirvana etc had one of the songs. It was years ago though and I looked for it but I can't find my video of it. I reckon they did Glamorous but I can't be sure. I remember Duane had his Travis Bean for all you geeks. It was the first time I'd seen one...

definitely worth tracking down to see them in a non-gig environment.

That reminds me - I remember seeing them on MTV Europe's 120 Minutes program around 1994 or so, performing Nub at Pukkelpop (I think...).

Since I don't have the footage, I'm sure this is just going to infuriate you.

also the whole of the Brixton Academy show in 92 was bootlegged (supporting fugazi) as some songs surfaced on the Lash 7" pack and I have a 7" with a sort of rubbish cream cover that has Nub and Art Of Self Defence from that show thats presumably a bootleg. They're great too.

I got the beat footage (not masters, but I'll get those when need be) ... Haven't seen the version of Nub from Pukk... fest. Got the aformentioned Texan bootleg (much obliged, it's great) and a bunch of other bootlegs ... Currently seeking the SHOW show masters (the material has been seen in the GLAMOROUS promo) which will be edited, and then, hopefully, the dvd may come into existence.
