It's one of the editor's choices on allmusic at the moment:

I am glad to see a love of animals on this record. Uffizi's whiskers are very cute. I think Kittypants is the best song by far. I enjoy the older live versions of End of Radio and Steady... Those versions were a bit more sparse lyric-wise, and I really liked the creepiness of that.
But, nc of course.

I was kinda disappointed by this album, I'm hoping it grows on me I really love "be prepared" "kitty pants" and "boycott" but I don't know it just didn't hit me like all the others did.

Tracks 1-4: killer
Tracks 6-9: Just as good
Just can't get into Genuine Lulabelle. So sue me. The rest is good.

Very good album. I like the little production touches, like having certain kick drum hits louder/bassier and the step-rising cymbals on "Spoke". Nice.
Well bowled.

Dancehall Bob.
I gave my dad a copy of this record...he's a bartender, he said 'I like it, its got some boogie to it; but 1 and 5 don't sell drinks.'

I third Ranxerox. It's my least favorite album to date.
I kind of third Sunlore, in that I agree these sound like early songs; where I disagree is that they're especially good tracks (though I like those early ones... and "Radio" is awesome, but the Peel version is much better for me).
I also third Bambouche: kick-ass drums. The self-reflexive materialism (in the philosophical rather than pejorative sense) of Shellac has always given me a woody. It's a band whose sound, whose physical affect, made and recorded, is ontological.
I confess to writing speculative academic-type articles on Shellac, in my head. Because I can. Fuck you all.
