Saw it tonight. Great movie. I'm not sure if it lived up to the hype for me though.

Gylenhaal(sp) was good. Eckhart was good. Michael Caine was good as always. Didn't see enough of Morgan Freeman, but he was fine. I love Gary Oldman but don't like him in this role. I like Bale as Bruce Wayne, but hate him as Batman.

Ledger was amazing. He stole the show. It's worth seeing just for his performance. Wouldn't have been nearly the movie it was without him. I was pissed at first that they wouldn't nail down an origin, but he turned out to be the best written character in the film. I actually dug the voice effects they gave him occasionally.

I didn't really get the commissioner Gordon "incident." I liked the boat thing, it was a very Spider-Man thing to do; to give the citizens a likable collective character that will stick together when pushed.

So, I'm not sure if this was better than Iron Man. It wins in the villain category, but Bale and his horrible deep Batman voice suck dog balls.

I liked seeing Chicago all over the place.

See, I like my superhero movies once in a while. It makes them special. Could I watch a movie like 'The Dark Knight' all the time? Nah.


But I could watch those toxic avenger movies all the time. hell yeah i could.

i don't mind bale's batman voice. i guess no one remembers the certain batman comics where the letters in the cartoon bubble look like the "tales from the crypt" font, suggesting that his voice is gravely and spooky.

i wouldn't expect the snooty bruce wayne voice to be coming out of batman.

I'm not sure Dent is dead. I think they've left the door open for Two-Face to be the main antagonist of a third movie; and really, what other compelling characters are left to turn to, after the Joker?

I subscribe to the "He's locked up in a basement at Arkham, with nothing but boiled fish heads and water" theory.

I hope they have, but he looked pretty damn dead to me. Still, i really dunno how they can top this movie with a third. Who do you use, The Riddler? Catwoman i suppose, since there's room for a leading lady now, and she has connections to the Falcone family...

Eckhart has been saying for a while now that he'd like to reprise his role in a third movie. I guess that doesn't mean much, but it means more than nothing.

Unless the Nolans feel they have a compelling reason to make a third film and finish the story, it's best if D.C. and Warner Bros. just quit while they're ahead. The last thing a lot of people want to see is a half-assed follow up to this movie.

I agree, especially since DC is planning a Justice League movie with a completely different actor cast as Batman. Talk about confusing the audience...

Still, knowing to quit while they're ahead has never been Warner's strong point where Bats is concerned. (See: Batman & Robin)
