Loved Z throwing over Manny's head. What a nut. I betcha he told him before the game that he was going to hit him in the head if he faced him. I further betcha he told Aramis Ramirez "I got Manny next inning. Watch me throw one at his head." Those guys had a kind of "Jesus, the son of a bitch actually did it" quallity to their laughter.

I dvr'd the game and was watching it with no idea the real game was still going on. The dvr stopped "taping" at the 10th inning, so I just went to bed. Good showing by the Cubs (and pretty much all) pitchers. I was hoping Fukudome wasn't going to do one of those broken ladder swings in the Big Game, but there you are.

i was really hoping for the NL to just hold them for that last inning, putting Francona in a bad situation that would in turn, put the blame on that piece of shit Bud Selig.

you had how many guys throw an inning in an exhibition game after pitching on sunday???

As I watched the long shot of the NL players standing along the 3rd base line all dressed in gray, I wondered why they were all wearing the same uniform. Then I snapped back and remembered that baseball players dress like squares now. I saw that flashback of Dave Parker sliding into home in the '77 game in Yankee Stadium, dressed all in black. That's the first all-star game I remember. If they dressed then like they do now, I wouldn't be a baseball fan

After the Cleveland/Boston playoff series last year and a few other important games it appears as though he has ice running through his veins. He's a good clutch hitter, and apparently that gets you $16 million a year these days.

francona...what a joke. when he was the manager for the phillies, he was horrible. always making bad decisions and leaving pitchers in when they were clearly spent. I don't know how he did it, and I have no idea why boston chose him, but really it's like George W. Bush becoming a football coach, gets hired by the cowboys and wins several championships. If a comet destroys earth tomorrow, it won't be soon enough.

Amen. I especially hate those stupid softball league jerseys you see here and there. I mean for God's sake, this is major league baseball. Put some buttons on your jerseys.
