Thanks for the heads-up on this. I briefly saw it is now available on CNN on demand but forgot about it. Will watch this weekend.

I just finished watching this. Somewhat to my (pleasant) surprise, my wife and one of my daughters sat through all of it, too. I did not expect that this kind of documentary would have kept their attention; I suspect it could be attributed to their awareness of what’s going on in Russia, the quality of the film, Navalny’s heavy reliance on social media to spread his message, or a combination of all of the above.
In short, I thought it was really well-done. I hope Navalny is somehow given the opportunity to run for office again in Russia, but I realize that won’t happen until after Putin is no longer in power.

Kore-eda's Still Walking was very moving and beautiful to look at, but I'm a sucker for any film dealing with families and resentments. I get why he's seen as a spiritual successor to Ozu.
Spotted a short on Criterion by experimental Canadian filmmaker Matthew Rankin that's absolutely brilliant. It's a nice blend of Stan Brakhage and the like that's one of the most exciting/invigorating things I've seen in some time:

Essential Killing, featuring Vincent Gallo as a Taliban fighter on the run in Poland.

Of course Gallo plays a Taliban fighter.

Watched The Northman last night, admittedly on a phone.
It was fun. A real looker in places and probably great value on the big screen. Some ropey accent work throughout, and I'm not sure where all that budget actually went, but it's nice to see a good filmmaker get some proper money to attack a genre movie with. Worth watching.

Everything Everywhere All At Once was as great as I'd hoped it'd be. Maybe don't take psilocybin before this one..

Counterpoint: Tremendously underwhelming.

Looks incredibly sappy.
