If anyone is in the market for a 24 track we are shifting this ol’ twin tub on via MJQ. According to the yantpo book it was first installed at Eel Pie. Whether or not this entitles you to play rhythm guitar with The Who is not something I feel comfortable answering with any authority. Oh yeah, we also rescued it from the Bohemian Rhapsody film where it was reconditioned by Clive Kavan so if you like Queen there’s a neat little story you can tell your other friend who likes Queen. Only once you’ve bought it of course, not before.

Tascam 388 available soon for an obscene price which is much more than it’s worth, but you know…hipsters.
Re: The All New Gear Liquidation Thread
202'Last chance' sale before I take 'em to MusicGoRound:
Ampeg VT-22: 'blue script' era.. SOLD
Fender Hot Rod Deville 2x12. Probably late '90s model, Eminence Red White and Blues speakers, also Groove Tubes (guessing original). Similar boat as the Ampeg, it's been fine as an occasional strumming amp but hasn't really been played in a while. $200.
Milwaukee pickup or halfway meetup possible. I'm just trying to get rid of stuff, so no trades.

203Dude, these are killer prices. You could easily get double+ for each. Kinda wish I needed an amp. As it is I have like 3 too many.penningtron wrote: Wed Sep 28, 2022 9:13 am 'Last chance' sale before I take 'em to MusicGoRound:

Re: The All New Gear Liquidation Thread
204Yeah that's a crazy price on a VT-22. Especially considering price-per-pound
Re: The All New Gear Liquidation Thread
205Yeah if that Hot Rod was local i'd buy it just for a gut job at that price.
Re: The All New Gear Liquidation Thread
206On that note I should mention it has casters!twelvepoint wrote: Wed Sep 28, 2022 9:48 am Yeah that's a crazy price on a VT-22. Especially considering price-per-pound
Yeah.. I know, but it's also not the type of amp most people are looking for nowadays. The 'midge kept dropping the price on it a few years back which eventually prompted me to buy it. Already have it on slight hold for somebody here though.
Will anyone want the DeVille.. who knows. Think of it like a Quilter but heavier and with inevitable maintenance!
I was using it as a speaker cab for a bit..Dr Tony Balls wrote: Yeah if that Hot Rod was local i'd buy it just for a gut job at that price.

207Deville sounds better in my unpopular opinion.penningtron wrote: Wed Sep 28, 2022 10:32 am Will anyone want the DeVille.. who knows. Think of it like a Quilter but heavier and with inevitable maintenance!
Fighting words: every single PRF person I know with a Quilter has sounded better playing through someone else's borrowed amp. <ducks> (will reluctantly show my work if absolutely required)
I cannot argue against the convenience, however.
Re: The All New Gear Liquidation Thread
208I cant speak definitively because I aint never quilted a damn thing, but i'd guess that no one will argue your statement. Of course a proper tube amp sounds better BUT its not always convenient.tommy wrote: Wed Sep 28, 2022 11:06 amDeville sounds better in my unpopular opinion.penningtron wrote: Wed Sep 28, 2022 10:32 am Will anyone want the DeVille.. who knows. Re: The All New Gear Liquidation Thread
209Quilter is fully the successor to Peavey in the Pawpaw amp market.
Re: The All New Gear Liquidation Thread
210Sure but anyone looking to the DeVille for 'tube magic' will probably be disappointed. (the reverb is superior to Quilters though)Dr Tony Balls wrote: Wed Sep 28, 2022 11:25 am Of course a proper tube amp sounds better BUT its not always convenient.
