Saw a friend's 90's/early aughts alternative cover band a couple weeks ago and now I can't get the idea of starting a cover band out of my head. Weird itch that I didn't know I wanted to scratch, but I'm thinking a post-punk thing. PiL, Buzzcocks, Magazine... that type of stuff.

Latin: habere
German: haben
Spanish: haber
English: have
French: avoir

If more verbs would behave like this I'd be a proper polyglot. But then learning a language wouldn't mean much.

I’m getting so much right wing incel shit on my fb feed today. I really need to get that awful site out of my life.

Dumped it a couple months ago to zero regrets. I *think* I also deleted my Instagram account, but it’s tough to confirm. Hadn’t used it at all in a good decade. My only “live” social media account is a LinkedIn page I haven’t updated in five or six years.

What a waste of time, energy, and money social media turned out to be.

I have a good time on social media, but I am pretty ruthless with the unfollow function and shutting down stuff I don’t like. It’s all cute animals and recording gear on insta, and dorky friends on Facebook. LinkedIn has loosened up a lot since Twitter took its most recent dive.

I liked Instagram and LinkedIn (in some capacity) but both of them made me feel inadequate and I don't want to give anything to Meta (although I share my most intimate stuff on WA, so there goes that noble idea).
I hoped leaving social media would some how make feel better, but it did fuck all. Maybe it's because I have zero social life in meatspace. So, that's a thing to consider.
