To me, Italy deserved the admission to the knockout stages of the tournament. We deserved to win against France and in the match against Romania we scored a valid goal not deemed so by the referee, even UEFA apologized for that. I'm not obviously saying that I like this team: way worse defense than the one we had in the 2006 World Cup, three goals scored only as the results of one free kick and two penalties.

We'll see: if Germany won with Portugal maybe we can do the same against Spain. For what concerns the possible semi-final with Holland (best team of the tournament), I think we'll need a miracle for that but that already happened in 2000 .

i spent the evening mixing a concert recording with a buddy, secretly wanting to be sitting in my local watching the game. we got done in time to catch the overtime & shootout in the pub. turns out we did everything right tonight.

cool seeing all the kids celebrating here, knowing how they'll remember this night years from now.

the live soundtrack gig for yesterday's game was killer, but i'm too tired to post about it. i'll save that for later.

It's easy to like Bilic the coach, but I can't ever forgive him for this incredible fucking bullshit. Every time I look at him, I remember that awful dive.

Incredible finish to tonight's game. This is becoming the best tournament I have seen since Italy 1990.
