personally, I thought the tv sucked. how many times, did nbc cut into a zoomed in shot of the play, and miss some part of the action? they also always cut away when "something" happened away from the play and they never showed you replays of questionable calls. Fuck this george bush administration style of hockey. the officials were having their own little gitmo out there on the ice and tv media went along with it. There were a couple times, when I heard the announcers question a call early in the playoffs, go to a commercial during which they obviously get reprimanded by someone in charge and after the commercial do the apologist bullshit. "oh, we got to see a different angle, but we're not going to show it to you."

Yes the TV sucked. The solution is watching it on the CBC if at all possible. Anyone who has ever lived within broadcasting distance of the border knows you never choose the American version. Since moving away from Detroit I've been stuck with this shit coverage and it drives me insane.

Think of what their season would have been like if they hadn't lost most of their games in February.

The Penguins fans in the Igloo graciously and politely stayed to watch the Wings skate around with the cup. In Philly they probably would have been throwing batteries.

I believe one of them is doing it right now on this board. In defense of the Pens, even. He has sullied his own people in this regard.

In Detroit, they call that "depth." It helps win Stanley Cups.

Detroit has a history of superstars not showing up later in the playoffs (see: Brendan Shanahan). If the role players don't step up, the team gets eliminated.

even though her headlights are on, she really has let herself go.

I really wish the Caps could trade up to pick Filatov.. this kid is going to be a lot better than last years big Russian catch Cherepanov.
