Not quite sure I understand your post fiery jack.

To my knowledge ABC never said that in regards to this thread.....he is my co-worker so I am sure I would have remembered that!

What's the deal?

no beef with abcgroupdocumentation, just thought that posting 9 commercially available and viable albums from a huge rock band on a big label seems a bit...off, it's not really in keeping with the spirit of the thread (as you should know better than most) as I understood it - but then i haven't been paying attention to it recently. I'd hate to see the thread killed because a moderator no longer felt that he/she could turn a blind eye

I probably expressed myself badly, but I'm too lazy to type a lot and, as was so eloquently pointed out, I am a douche.

The albums loaded are all commercially available and act as a nice, big red flag for anyone wanting to take issue with the forum. Or, in other words, a way to get the forum in trouble with some smart-arse corporate lawyer.

My impression was that this thread was meant to distribute only largely unavailable records that you would otherwise struggle massively to put onto MP3.

Ahh I gotcha. I understand what you mean....

No harm no foul!

Surfrider wrote:I am massively interested in ANY versions of the song 'Delia' or 'Delia Was a Gambling Gal' any of you lot have. I was turned on to this song by a version Pajo played at a Papa M gig years ago, and i am always on the hunt for more versions, be they better or worse. My favourite one i have heard so far would be by the afore-mentioned Blind Willie McTell (which is what reminded and promted me to write this post).

Do you have the David Bromberg version? It's on his first album, which is excellent. I'll try to digitize my vinyl of it at some point.

Thanks.

Has anyone else requested to get free music from someone on here who would rather sell it than give it away? I'm curious.

I never made any money in Rifle Sport, actually it probably cost me a few thousand dollars to play in the band over the years. I wouldn't mind making a few dollars selling some music to people who want it.

I am sure he asked for this as a web search makes it seem as if they are all out of print.

I am also sure that everyone on this thread would gladly purchase music from another forum member or any other underground artist if they were made aware of where to get it.

Can you provide a site or let us know where he can order it from?

They are all out of print and have been for many years.

I just happen to have a small amount left, many have been spoken for so I'm not sure if I will have any to sell after I ship those out.

All I have is vinyl.

I just assumed digital copies of records we already own would be nice to have since there are so many of us that like AC/DC (and the Kinks)...but...with that in mind, there's lots of shit on here that is readily available on cd/lp that many folks aren't paying for...which seems to be the spirit of this thread...

I suggest only downloading what you've purchased...or intend to purchase. stealing's not cool.
