And Stuart Gray's Art Gray Noizz Quintet. A friend and I are grabbing grub at Bird's Nest around 8 if the spirit moves you. I'm a bit surprised this isn't being held at a larger venue. Gonna be sweaty!
Signal boost for tomorrow night

I'd love to but I am now stuck at a work thing, if I pull up its not going to be until later. Next time!

just my standard heads-up before i go to a show in the city:
those of you headed to The Burlington tonight, say hi to the idiot in the red "VOLO" t-shirt.
i will go grab some tacos nearby beforehand and arrive at the venue well before the show starts.
(see you there Randy!)

Just left from The Burlington (apologies for the silent goodbye.. can’t miss the last train to Fox Lake).
Stood at the very front of the stage as usual.
The three bands I saw were fucking awesome. Took a few pictures and will share later.
Why do I stand as close to the front of the stage as possible, even if the sound is not optimal?
Because I wanna be on the stage.
I wanna be there trying to figure out what to play when the guitarist/bassist/drummer/etc. comes up with some fucked up riff.
I kinda don’t care as much as I should if it destroys my ears. I want noise.
Bands were great and I just wanna be there in front of the stage for the rest of my life, assuming that my creative window has passed me by and I can’t be up there myself.
Love you all.

Neal Markowski / Oblivious Newton Jon - Compound Yellow, Oak Park, IL - 6/8/24 - 7pm
Come see what the rhythm section of Daddy's Boy and Blank Banker does when they DON'T play in the same band together, what a world. Experimental/out/now sounds now.
Event details here -

Nonagon is playing a show in celebration of their 20th year as a rock and roll band.
Photo-Curio is playing the show. Our band OUT is playing it. Another guest band is also playing it (pretty gnarly one, too).
This will be June 29th at the only club in Chicago, the Burlington.
We'd all love to see you and say hi, particularly if we haven't met before. For reference, I look like your dad or one of your uncles, probably. 50% chance that's the case I'd say.
Ike from Kalamazoo

I hope to be there. FYI you look nothing like my Dad or Uncles.
