Once you register your team it should give you the option of automatically rejoining the League of Slackers (If you were a member last time.) (It's already automatically joined DRC. It's also given me the option of suspending him. Should I? Has he been involved with bungs?)

If it doesn't automatically put you back in the league, or if you are new to the league, the join code is:

191518-45209

Just go to www.premierleague.com and sign up.

My goodness there are a few tractor boys here.. Who would have guessed insomnia and reading the funny shit on this forum would lead me to ITFC supporters. In the states no less. Nice..

Would you believe that I am about to dust my ITFC lampshade?

etc.

I need a picture of this. Not of you dusting... but of the ITFC lampshade itself.

Once you join, you can shuffle your team around indefinitely until the first Gameweek. If anyone joins or leaves, it's not going to cost you points because it's still pre-season. Worth throwing together a preliminary team and looking at the first few fixtures I reckon.

The referees in Scotland are demanding a 39% pay raise, possibly delaying the start of the season.

I will repeat that.

The referees. In Scotland. Are demanding a 39% pay raise.

Anyone who watches Scottish football as regularly as I do care to back them up on this?

In related news, Craig Levein has been fined five grand after the SFA reviewed his comments regarding the absolute clusterfuck that was Dundee United's game v. Rangers in May.

***Damn. Rangers go out of the CL to Kaunas. I guess I should be happy as a Hearts supporter, but I'm just kinda bummed. I always root for Scottish teams in Europe.

I just came on to post this. Very, very silly work from Rangers.

LUFC have announced squad numbers and trimmed a little fat. Becchio has been signed for three years and given the number ten shirt; he must have really impressed. From the pre-season commentaries I took in, he sounds like he has a high workrate and good touch.

Showumni, on the other hand, was reported to be 'chewing gum and not getting involved'. Apparently he showed more in the 4-1 victory over Belgium's FC Dender on Saturday.

1 Casper Ankergren, 2 Frazer Richardson, 3 Paul Huntington, 4 Jonathan Douglas, 5 Rui Marques, 6 Lubomir Michalik, 7 David Prutton, 8 Neil Kilkenny, 9 Jermaine Beckford, 10 Luciano Becchio, 11 Alan Sheehan, 12 David Lucas, 13, 14 Jonathan Howson, 15, 16 Bradley Johnson, 17 Scott Gardner, 18 Andy Robinson, 19 Ben Parker, 20 Tresor Kandol, 21 Enoch Showunmi, 22 Andy Hughes, 23 Robert Snodgrass, 24 Peter Sweeney, 25 Alan Martin, 28 Fabian Delph, 29 Tom Elliott, 30 Jonathan Lund, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35 Sebastien Carole, 36, 37 Ian Westlake, 38 Sebastian Sorsa, 39, 40, 41 Robert Bayly

The most annoying thing about this is that the left-back will be wearing number eleven. Fucking squad numbers.

Weston has gone, Sorsa is having a trial in Scotland, I don't believe Carole's trial in France worked out but I would expect he and Westlake to be snapped up before the close of the transfer window. That leaves Leeds with last year's squad plus Robinson, Becchio, Snodgrass and Showumni, and a couple of young players (Howson, Delph) tipped to be heavily involved. I'd like to see some more quality at the back (a reserve keeper and a centre back, maybe a right back) but I'm positive about Saturday lunchtime at Scunthorpe.

Bayern Munich kit launch. Watch it with sound, if only for the stunned silence at the end. Fussball, you crazy dramatisch.

Partick Thistle kit launch. Those are pink and grey hoops, lads.

Getting excited for the new season now. I just hope that Keegan and co get their fingers out and get some more players in.

The current squad:

Shay Given
Jose Enrique
Cacapa
Joey Barton
Danny Guthrie
Obafemi Martins
Michael Owen
Damien Duff
Stephen Harper
Charles N'Zogbia
James Milner
Alan Smith
Jonas Gutierrez
Geremi
Habib Beye
Nicky Butt
Shola Ameobi
Abdoulaye Faye
Steven Taylor
David Edgar
Frank Danquah
Wesley Ngo Baheng
Fraser Forster
Ben Tozer
Mark Viduka
Kazenga LuaLua
Andrew Carroll
Tim Krul
Mark Doninger
Jonny Godsmark
Sebastien Bassong
Tamas Kadar
Fabio Zamblera
Ole Soderberg

From what I have read Colocini is supposed to be a done deal:

We are still in need of a real playmaker in midfield.

Meanwhile, The Evening Chronicle reports that Enrique has lost some weight.
