The grab bag of meaningless edgelord iconography painted on the Annunciation shooter's weapons has me thinking a lot about Baudrillard's Simulation and Simulacra, the divorce of signifier from signified, and the connection of all those things to "post-truth".
It mostly makes me think of Varg Vikernes, to be honest.

Win Powerball, buy Morrissey out of the Smiths, replace him with Danzig.
You're welcome.

Is Mark Arm personally responsible for shipping out records from Sub Pop?
It makes me a little giddy that my recent purchases have his name in the return address.

Yep, he’s run the shipping for years.
That’s pretty cool. Will definitely order from them again!

Jesus, I forgot how awful this was. The ultimate expression of hold-your-nose-and-vote. Also a textbook example of phoning it in.

Brenee Brown on NY Times podcast (are these two content tags not the most perfect way to attract the average PRF member's interest?) seems to have a pretty sharp understanding of what's ailing us between Trump, an AI race, blowback on DEI as well as workplace culture in general. She's also refreshingly not down with being crowned a self help guru.

It’s 1:15 AM, the night after my 30 year high school reunion.
I am still kinda drunk.
Despite still harboring a strong disdain for much of my graduating class, I am also still rooting for them.
