Yeah, I've been looking at Bent as an option as well. (No need to keep it a secret really) He was the only thing that kept Charlton afloat there for a while, but last season he didn't seem to settle in (hard to do so when you're competing with Berbatov, Keane, and Defoe. But Ramos appears to have taken care of that "problem".)

I can't take all the credit - it's begun doing the forum rounds. One forum is taking particular delight in the way McClaren keeps saying "ah, how you say..." even though he's talking his own freaking language.
