Dude...like...my friend knows Rodan.
For M. Leo: I know you really enjoyed the E.P....and it's the result of a band on the top of its game...but I far prefer this much rougher...now unavailable album. It's not even on Sector Five Records. I love the way it sounds...their Sector Five LP,
Suicide Tools was mastered like tinny shit (apparently they wanted it that way [beats me]). This album is less punk...more drone. It's way cooler...way more simple...nihilistic. The songwriting doesn't reach as hard as
Suicide Tools, but the
sound of this album gets me off. Very cool...super guys. Enjoy!
See: Electric Wizard, Melvins...if they were punks. Slow punkage.

For everybody: Remember when Kurt Cobain died? All the exploitative releases the Nirvana camp has put out since the decade turned '00 really pissed me off. The purpose of this collection was to condense a bunch of rare Nirvana shit to 80 minutes...so it could be neatly burned onto a CD.
Additionally, except for "I Hate Myself and I Want To Die" at the beginning (and end) and "Spank Thru" at the end (and the beginning), the album goes in perfect chronological order. You will find tracks from the unreleased Fecal Matter demo (sorry, not the whole demo), as well as just about every important song in Kurt Cobain's later catalog (many of which were cut from the box entirely). The only important Nirvana song not included here is "Nobody Knows I'm New Wave" (or whatever it's called). Some of the versions on
With The Lights Out are superior, so they are included here instead of my older copies. Here's the Nirvana album we never got...and the proper tracklist for maximum enjoyment (rename each track with an "01...02...etc." at the beginning):
1) I Hate Myself And I Want To Die (Beavis & Butthead version)
2) Spank Thru (Fecal Matter)
3) Bambi Slaugther (Fecal Matter)
4) Clean Up Before She Comes
5) If You Must
6) Pen Cap Chew
7) Blandest

Token Eastern Song
9) Even In His Youth
10) Opinion
11) Verse Chorus Verse
12) Old Age
13) Curmudgeon
14) Oh, The Guilt
15) Talk To Me
16) Gallons of Rubbing Alcohol Flow Through The Strip
17) Marigold
18) Moist Vagina
19) Moist Vagina (b-side)
20) Sappy
21) You Know You're Right
22) Do Re Mi
23) Spank Thru (live)
24) I Hate Myself And I Want To Die (noisy version)

For Steve V.: In Wisconsin, there's not a hell of a lot for kids to do. Some of them start bands. Some of them have a
lot of time on their hands. Some of them drop acid in Green Bay basements and play their instruments all the livelong day...go on tours with Warhammer 48K...smoke pot endlessly. Some of them are 15 years old when they make an album like
New India while your thumb was up your butt.

I've been edgy as hell lately. There's been a lot on my mind. I have a lot of assholes in my life right now...only my friends can keep me sane. I'm stressed...I need a better practice space than the one I'm using...I need to email a bunch of people about studio stuff...I need to change around my school schedule for next year...people come into the office with horrifying stories...and that shit can really get to you...you can't always help them...and even when you can, it doesn't mean they're not fucked.
So. Into the hot tub?
