Every song on Master of Puppets kills anythign Soundgarden ever put forth, or could hope to put forth.

I like 'Badmotorfinger' more than any album by Metallica. Having said that, 'Master of puppets' absolutely kicks ass.

I pulled out Soundgarden again, and it's sort of remarkable the dive they took after Louder Than Love. I like their early eps and first two albums, but afterwards, it's like a different band. The songs got blander (I'm sure a lot of you would argue all of it was bland) but their early songs were more creative, if not as well written.

I just picked up Louder Than Love the other day for pretty cheap. I knew half of it, and liked the other half just fine.

Badmotorfinger is still a good album too.

Spot on. The later records have their moments, but the early ones are unassailable. I daresay that even Brett Eugene Ralph would like some of Louder than Love.

Soundgarden sounds like crap.
