I've never listened to Silkworm.
I think R.E.M. are one of the whitest bands on the planet and that Stipe is in love with himself, thereby preventing me from listening to their records (although "Harborcoat" is a hell of a song).
I intensely dislike Animal Collective.
I hate Green River and think Mudhoney's pretty overrated.
I don't like The Jam.
I hate Elvis Costello, but want his Jazzmaster. People have problems with Bob Dylan's voice and not with this guy's?
I hate the Runaways.
My hypothesis that even bad bands have at least one good song led me to download Coldplay and Korn albums and subject myself to them. It was rough going.
I still don't get the Melvins, really.
And, to top it all off, I think Tweez sucks a nut.

I listen to Elvis Costello/Burt Bacharach's "Painted From Memory" at least once a week as well as "The Sweetest Punch" rearrangement by Bill Frisell.
In high-school I took a girl to see Flock of Seagulls/Asia and still didn't manage to get under her shirt.
When opening for The Rhythm Pigs they invited me to sing Ziggy Stardust during their set and I forgot most of the words and then vomited on the monitor.
I traded Rick Nielson's guitar pick for a Taco Bell bean burrito.

I love Wire. I really do.
But I think I prefer "Connection" to "Three Girl Rhumba."

agreed on all counts. "spiderland" can go to hell too.
